OAKTOWN FC 2019 Season Review

OAKLAND, Calif.— The inaugural season for OAKTOWN FC recently came to an end.

Highlights

In OAKTOWN FC’s first season as a club, history was made. In every game that ERES FC was a part of, they were competing until the final whistle, literally and figuratively. The team finished with a record of 7W-1D-4L, competing against other teams within the Oakland and Fruitvale community. 

In ERES FC’s first season, they missed the playoffs on a goal difference of 3 after being tied on points with the 4th place team. ERES FC ultimately finished in 5th place out of 11 teams. Their regular season ended 5W-1D-4L.

To cap the season off, OAKTOWN FC (OTFC) entered a soccer jamboree and won their final two matches of the season. OTFC went undefeated in their two disputed games, winning their first match 8-2 and their second match 2-0. It was great to see the community come together to finish the season on a high note in OTFC’s first season as a club in its history.
